Our Team
Our Team is focused on training/coaching our roster of up to 8 mixed martial artists. Currently consisting of amature to professional fighters (Although we have openings for trainees/prospects as well.) We train in a unique but effective format. We optimize our training in a 3 month cycle called a "Training season". Utilizing not only our team members and coaches, but our affiliates as well. Alongside our core mma based practices; we utilize Whitley's boxing for our stand up, Springfield submission society for our grappling, and our in-house Underground Wrestling club. We fight within the season on the regional/national circuit, constantly improving along the way. Closing out the season with our "Team Trials." All this makes us complete mma fighters to perform at our best ability, and rise within the ranks!
Hierarchy

Our Ranked FIGHTERS range from Amature to Pro level fighters. Ranked and rewarded for there work ethic inside and outside in the cage. This is what were here for.
Training Season's
There are three underground training seasons within the year, with a two to three week off season in-between each season. We coordinate our training and set our goals within the season. The first month of the season's training is based off our underground game plans: "Sprawl & Brawl", "Ground and Pound", "Dirty Boxing", and "Lay and Prey". We format our training to be based around the full spectrum of mma, innovating the process and evolving our skills.
Each Athlete is tracked with our HMS (heart rate monitoring system). Our HMS, is based off Squad heart rate technology. Each athlete will have there performance metrics tracked and give them a training score.
Below you can see this athlete achieved a high performing score of 193 points with an average heart rate of 158 beats per minute, active time of 58 minutes. These metrics help our athletes to track data and are able to judge there output. Standard times for a full mma practice is the athlete gaining 100 points. for more info visit https://squadheartrate.com/

The underground team trials is the proving ground for Prospects and Advanced Athletes. Athletes will be tested in an mma fight within the gym. Defending there roster spots are our Ranked Fighters.
Each fight will play a part in advancement within the team, depending on opponent and outcome. If an Advanced Athlete or Prospect beat's a Ranked fighter; they will automatically take there current spot on the roster. If the prospect loses, they will become an intermediate Trainee for the next season. If an Advanced Athlete loses vs anyone, they stay an Advanced Athlete. If two Advanced Athletes fight, the winner will join the ranked Team, As long if there is open spots on the roster(roster is up to 8 Fighters).
All ranked fighters must be in attendance to face any prospects our advanced athletes. This is because Matchups are not pre-determined.
Trainees are not eligible for team trials. Advanced Athletes are eligible as long as they gained 500 training points within the season.
The fights are 3x3 minute rounds. As always, full face headgear/shin guards 'sparring mma gloves are required, aswell as provided.

Ranked Team
As stated previously our team consists of different fighter levels. with the ranked team being the highest prestige. Starting from JV all the way to Pro. getting on the team roster is imperative if you wish to fight out in the cage. "JV fighters" are allocated to only fighting in smoker fights (smoker fights are fights that do not go on your record). "Amature fighters" fight on the local scene. Our "pro fighters" fight within the region and nationally.
No one fights outside unless you have earned the right to fight; by getting on the team roster. Getting on the team roster is done by beating a fighter currently on the roster at the end of the training season in the underground team trials
The team roster is ranked from 1 to 8. The fighter in position 1 is deemed the team captain. the rankings are decided on 3 factors.
- skill Level
- Attendance/Effort
- Team Player
all fighters are allowed to come to the training center at anytime using the door codes. but are incentivized to train during the team mma practices. Which is our core training sessions. We use heart rate based monitoring systems to track effort and progress. This counts up training points based on heartrate for each training session. Giving the athlete a virtual based effort rating. This not only helps our fighters/Athletes analyze data, but also Takes out guess work. Making for an effective tool for ranking and tracking the fighters. Ultimately turning our sport and goals more objective rather than subjective.
